What we do
A floor is only as good as what sits underneath it. We check levels, moisture risk and surface condition before fitting carpet, LVT, wood or tile.
- Levelling and screeding
- Moisture and damp-proof advice
- Preparation for LVT and wood
- Stable base for long-lasting floors

We measure up and check the floor or stairs.

Good to know
Every good floor starts underneath. We assess moisture, level and structure first, then screed, latex-level, ply or board as needed so the finished floor lays flat and stays fixed.
Skipping preparation is the most common cause of failed floors: bumps telegraph through LVT, boards creak, and adhesives fail on damp or dusty screeds. We include the preparation in the quote so there are no surprises.
Common questions
Do I always need subfloor preparation?
Not always, but it must always be checked. Some subfloors are ready to go; others need levelling, ply or moisture treatment. We assess this at the survey and quote accordingly.
How long does levelling compound take to dry?
Most latex levelling compounds take 24 to 48 hours before the floor can be fitted, depending on depth and conditions. Deeper screeds take longer, and we plan the schedule around it.
Can you test for damp?
Yes. We moisture-test screeds and concrete before fitting wood or LVT, because fitting over damp is the fastest way to ruin a new floor.
